01 / Who it's for

Six industries that already feel it.

The best fit is a product worth more than about ₱50, sold where you cannot see every seller: marketplaces, provinces, abroad.

Pharma and supplements

FDA counterfeit warnings every month; pharmacists want to check a box in a second.

Talk to: Regulatory or quality head

Cosmetics and personal care

Fakes sold online; the industry is moving to 2D barcodes.

Talk to: Brand manager

Motorcycle and auto parts

A safety story the makers already tell; garages check before fitting.

Talk to: Parts or aftersales head

Food exporters

Copies abroad, goods diverted between markets; importers want proof of origin.

Talk to: Export manager or owner

Apparel and footwear

The most-seized category; local brands copied offshore.

Talk to: Brand protection or legal

Liquor, tobacco, farm inputs

Illicit trade, tax stamps, fake seeds and fertiliser.

02 / Fakes seized, per year

A record ₱40.99 billion in 2024.

And that is only what the government catches. 2025 fell to ₱29.97 billion even with more raids: IPOPHL says the fakes moved online.

25.3%

of cigarettes sold in 2025 were illicit; 86% of vapes

4.8M

03 / Online

Most fakes now sell online, and platforms act on proof.

124 brands

have signed IPOPHL's agreement with Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop and Zalora to take fakes down.

85.5% and 93.6%

of fake listings were removed by Lazada and Shopee before anyone reported them.

RA 11967

The Internet Transactions Act: a platform that ignores a proper notice shares the liability.

Proof

is what a notice needs. Every check on Sakura Trace is a dated record with a place.

04 / Why the old ways fail

A hologram is the same on every pack. So is its copy.

Same on every pack

Holograms and seals. A plain QR that opens the brand's website. A batch code on the box. Copy one and you have copied them all; nobody knows how many times it was used, or where.

Different on every pack

One secret code per pack, inside the QR. A record of every check, when and where. A copied code shows up checked in many places. Copying is easy; copying without being caught is not.

In March 2026 the BIR found fake tax stamps printed with the same serial numbers as real ones. A record of each serial exposes that at the first repeat. A hologram never would.

Start with one product line.

The data from the first product usually tells you which one to protect next.
